Kitchen Concepts:
Designing Your Dream Home

The evolution of the company known as Kitchen Concepts is almost 10 years in the making. It began like many success stories of our day—out of the home of owner Mack Weaver. Today, with an impressive new showroom and the business of returning clients and new customers, Weaver has a sense of excitement each time he thinks about the contributions Kitchen Concepts is making to the Las Cruces community.

“We are here because there is a need for our products, designs and services in the community,” Weaver says. “We are not here just to make a sale, but to bring families in contact with the right products for them to enjoy over the lifetime of their home.”

Weaver says cabinetry is an essential part of any home and should reflect the personality of the person or family building or remodeling a home. “Increasingly the design of a home is centered on the kitchen because this is where life occurs, where relationships are built and strengthened. We see the kitchen as the heart of the home and as a crucial part of the home, and as such, we design around the needs of the family,” Weaver says.

The new Kitchen Concepts showroom, formerly Mack Weaver Cabinetry and Design, held its grand opening in November 2007, and boasts numerous kitchen and bathroom cabinetry displays, including an impressive wall full of a custom closet configurations, outdoor patio cabinetry and granite vessel sinks. Clients find an unhurried atmosphere to peruse wood samples, hinges and hardware. “We built this showroom so we can show our clients the latest in cabinetry, tile and countertops. This showroom has ideas that spark the imagination, and with the help of our staff, turns the client’s dreams into reality,” says Weaver.

Weaver contributes the company’s growth to three factors: Repeat business and referrals from satisfied customers; the salesmen’s extensive knowledge of the product base and the quality of the products Kitchen Concepts offers. Weaver, along with salesmen Joe Maez and Ruben Diaz, stay on the cutting edge of design by attending kitchen and bath shows and workshops. “All of us have experience in building, framing and construction work,” says Weaver. “It takes a variety of experience to do what we do here. We are a team dedicated to giving our customer what they want and showing them the best design to make that a reality.”

Weaver has been in the cabinetry and design business for more than 30 years, first as a carpenter, then designer and salesman, and says he enjoys being able to work with people directly.

Weaver works with clients from conceptualization through installation, working every step to ensure the products he delivers are ideal for each family. “I work with architects, interior designers, independent buyers, remodel specialists, buyers and builders—in all facets,” he says. “I prefer to start when the plans are initially drawn.”
Weaver helps with problem solving before houses are even started by visualizing closet and storage space, electrical needs in the kitchen or analyzing the needs of the family in regards to day-to-day functions. Although he finds working with new construction rewarding, so is the excitement and challenge of kitchen, bath and closet remodeling. “Most people are opting to remodel or update their home; new designs and cabinetry can add value and appeal to an older home,” says Weaver.

Kitchen Concepts offers many options in their showroom for their clients, including free-standing cabinetry that looks like furniture for the bathroom, custom range hoods, lighted pot racks, innovative seating options, different kinds of drawer closers and solid wood options for cabinets. They also offer a line of custom closet designs and outdoor, weather-proof cabinetry with mesquite countertops. Their displays include everything from basic kitchen designs, to a master bedroom-suite kitchen, to a luxury kitchen that incorporates a fireplace and flat panel television. With office cabinetry, custom filing options, bookcases and desk areas, Weaver doesn’t only cater to the needs in your kitchen and bath.

“We are very passionate about our products and services, but what sets us apart is the relationship we establish with our customer as we work together to see their dream come true,” says Weaver.
